Hopefully, by now, you’ve made your own Zoosk account. That means you’re ready to search for love on Zoosk!

In this article, we’ll show you how to log in and out of Zoosk. We’ll also show you the eight main functions of Zoosk, which you can use to find potential matches on Zoosk.

Logging in and out of Zoosk

1. Go to www.zoosk.com in your web browser and click Log In in the top-right corner.

2. Click in the first box highlighted here and type in your email address. Then, click in the box beside it and type in the password for your Zoosk account. Then click Log In.

If you signed up with your Facebook or Google account, you can instead click Log In with Facebook or Log In with Google and follow the instructions to log in with the respective account.

3. Once you’re logged in, you can click on your profile picture to open your personal menu, and then click Log Out in order to leave Zoosk for now.

Ways to meet and connect with people on Zoosk

There are eight major functions on Zoosk for meeting and communicating with matches. We’ll explain each of them below.

Search

The most basic way to use Zoosk is to search for members whom you might have something in common with. You will automatically be given search criteria based on what you entered when you signed up for Zoosk (i.e. what gender you are and are looking for in matches, as well as an age-appropriate range). You can click Previous and Next to cycle through available matches, or click Edit Search to change your criteria. Your current search criteria will be displayed above your current match’s picture.

Click the smiley face icon to send a “smile” to the person, or click the heart icon to “like” the person. You can also click in the box labelled “Send Him/Her a Message” and type in something that you want to say to the person, and then click Send. (You will need a subscription to do this). You can also click the present icon to send a virtual gift to the person; you must have Zoosk coins to do this, though.

If you click See Full Profile, you can view more about this person, including their basic profile information, other pictures of them, any gifts that they have received, and anything else that they’re interested in (e.g. movies, music, celebrities, and so on).

Carousel

The “Carousel” function allows you to quickly find matches based on mutual interest. Basically, in the Meet menu, you will be shown pictures of people whom you might normally see in your “Search” function. Below each picture, you will see three buttons: No, Maybe, and Yes. Click on one of these buttons to indicate your level of interest in the other person. When you’re done, click Matches to see who also liked you. Then, if you have a paid subscription and Zoosk coins, you can view each other’s profiles and start messaging each other!

Online Now

The “Online Now” function is practically identical to the “Search” function”, except that all matches that you see will be currently online, looking for other matches. This makes it easier to instantly get in touch with them. You can also send a virtual gift with a message!

Messages

Here, you can see all of the messages that you have sent to other Zoosk users or have received from other Zoosk members. Click on a message to read it. You can also click the menu in the top-left corner to filter what messages you are currently seeing, or click the Edit button to select messages that you want to delete (and then click Delete).

Connections

This menu shows people whom you’ve “liked”, in any of the other functions, and who have “liked” you back. This makes it easier to find them again and chat with them.

Views

The “Views” function shows you other matches who have viewed your profile in full; in turn, they might be interested in you! Click the Previous and Next buttons to scroll through the list of Zoosk users who have viewed your profile recently. From there, you can click View Profile to view their profile, too (if you have a Zoosk subscription), or click Delete or Report/Block to clear them from the list.

SmartPick

This function allows you to specify some strict criteria about the people whom you want to match with, or at least match you with people who are more likely to really hit it off with you. Under the SmartPicks menu, click Answer Question beside each of the questions here, and choose a response (you can also click Change Answer if you have a change of heart).

Then, each day, Zoosk will choose matches that you’re likely to be more compatible with, based on your answers and behavior on Zoosk. Similar to the “Carousel” function, you can click the heart icon to like them, or click the “X” icon to pass. You only have a limited amount of time to “like” each person, though! (You must also have a Zoosk subscription to do this.) You can also click See More About Him/Her to view their whole profile.

Finally, if you have a Zoosk subscription, you can click Matches to see which matches that you’ve “liked” through SmartPick have “liked” you back.

Insights

The final main function here just gives you some detailed information about your dating habits. You can see how active you are on Zoosk, what the people whom you’re into have in common, and what the people who like you have in common. It might give you a few ideas for tweaking your profile; click Update Profile at the bottom of the page to do so.

Well, that’s a quick tour of Zoosk! Good luck with your romantic pursuits!
